James Schiller
James G. Schiller, PhD, serves as the Executive Director of iHealth, having worked, studied, and conducted research in the healthcare and case management fields for over 3 years. He has a BA Psychology from St. Anselm College (Manchester, NH), MAs in Psychology from Hunter College (New York) and Fielding Graduate University (Santa Barbara, CA) and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Fielding Graduate University. His most valued experiences began when he worked with persons impacted by HIV, being part of the first HIV specialized case management teams in NYC (St. Clare’s Hospital).
James’ targeted CM experience (and tenure working with the DOH-AIDS Institute) began at Argus Community (Bronx, NY) where he served as the Program Director (1993-2006), the Vice President of HIV Services (2003-2006), the Chief Operating Officer / Deputy Executive Director (2006-2020), and an “External” SAMHSA Evaluator / EVP (through 2023). From 2020 through 2023, he served as the Executive Director at St. Christopher’s Inn, working with persons challenged by substance use and homelessness. He remains a valued principal partner of the Practical Training Group LLC. He maintains membership in the American Psychological Association, the New York State Psychological Association, and the International Association of Applied Psychologists.

His clinical and research experience includes experience with the Duchess County Dept. of Mental Hygiene (Poughkeepsie, NY, 2005-2006), qualitative data analysis for the Women's Ways of Knowing Diversity Project (Fielding Graduate Institute, 1995-1996) and an examination of patient and provider attachment styles and the impact upon treatment in a busy HIV outpatient case management clinic (Argus Community, Inc., 2008). Dr. Schiller has served as an Adjunct Faculty at Hunter College and Lehman College and has authored multiple healthcare-related presentations and publications.

An active member of the service community, Dr. Schiller has served as a member of the Bronx Montefiore Hospital Community Advisory Board, a Co-Chair of the NYS Dept. of Health Statewide CORBA Case Management Technical Assistance Group, and a Board Member at Large for the Partnership for the Homeless in NYC. He has been recognized in 1997 in his receipt of the second annual Dr. Nicholas Rango Case Management Award from the NYS-DOH AIDS Institute, and an earlier Achievement Award from Mario Biaggi, Member of Congress. He continues to train and speak at- large on topics such as the Real Meaning of DEIB, the Underpinnings of Prejudice and Differences, and the provision of care to the disconnected in the community.
