Samaritan Daytop Village

Samaritan lives by our mission to dedicate our work to improving the quality of life for New Yorkers facing adversity. At Samaritan, we believe that Good resides in each of our clients- men and women, our veterans, mothers and babies, the homeless, families, and the elderly.
Samaritan Daytop Village was founded in 1960 as one of New York City’s first and most innovative drug treatment and counseling centers in Queens. Since then, Samaritan Daytop Village has evolved to service over 33,000 people each year through a network of more than 50 facilities located throughout New York City, Long Island, and upstate New York. Besides care management services, Samaritan Daytop Village provides transitional housing and shelters (to families and individuals), permanent supportive housing, outpatient mental health and substance use treatment, medically assisted and intensive residential treatment, activities for seniors at our senior center, peer support services and much, much more!
Samaritan Daytop Village is home to Hope Care Management. This CMA provides services to over 1800 members through its 55 staff. Our philosophy towards care management is directly linked with Samaritan’s mission; we believe that within every one of our members, Good lives. We believe our role is to not only foster growth and successful outcomes to our members but assist our clients in recognizing their skills, strengths, and value within our community.
Located in “the Hub” in the South Bronx, we uniquely provide MetroCards, breakfast, and lunch to our members. We conduct coat drives, food drives, and other initiatives to not only encourage staff to work together to better our community but ultimately distribute these goods during member-based events!
