Yurilka A. Hernandez
Yurilka A. Hernandez is a highly qualified and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York. She is a bilingual, bi-cultural Hispanic professional with over 15 years of expertise in mental health, substance abuse disorders, cultural competency, immigrant family services, and clinical supervision.

Yurilka holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Social Work (MSW) from New York University, Silver School of Social Work, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis (2016), a Post-Master’s in Executive Leadership for Non-Profit Organizations from New York University (2019), and a Certified Middle Management credential from the National Council for Behavioral Health (2017).

Her Professional Roles include: Assistant Vice President of Crisis and Care Coordination Services and Integration Services at Acacia Network, where she leads a team of over 100 clinical and 15 administrative staff; Adjunct Professor for the online Master’s program in Social Work at Adelphi University.

Yurilka is an active participant in advocacy efforts in Washington DC and Albany, representing social work communities and advocating for individual well-being. A sampling of notable achievements includes being the Recipient of the Sapphire Award (2021)
from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), as well as Co-Authoring of "Latinx in Social Work, Volume 1."
Currently she works at Acacia Network, the second-largest Latino-led non-profit organization in the U.S., where she manages Crisis Stabilization Centers, Health Homes, and Care Coordination programs, and actively making significant contributions to the behavioral health team.
